Collects and analyzes data in order to estimate the time, money, materials, and labor required to construct or remodel a building or provide other carpentry/construction services.

Travels to job sites to gather information on materials needed and labor required.

Analyzes specifications and technical documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.

Prepares estimates for use in selecting vendors or subcontractors.

Confers with engineers, architects, owners, contractors and subcontractors on cost estimates.

Prepares cost and expenditure statements and other necessary documentation at regular intervals for the duration of the project.

Assess cost effectiveness

Proficient in all aspects of carpentry including tile work, painting, cabinet hanging and frame-to-finish work.

Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Must have reliable transportation and be able to travel within all of RI and Massachusetts.

Punctuality and Attendance are required for assigned/scheduled shifts.

5+ years of related experience as a cost estimator

Proficient in all aspects of carpentry including tile work, painting, cabinet hanging and frame-to-finish work.

Excellent verbal and written communication

Active listening, learning and the ability to work without supervision.

Knowledge and understanding of Mathematics.

Complex problem solving and judgement decision making.
